Shannon Cao

Shannon graduated from La Jolla High school in June 2024 and is a freshman at Emory University. She started playing viola when she was 8. In September 2018, she began to study under the direction of Mr. Hernan Constantino. Shannon played viola in the Chamber Orchestra and Advanced Orchestra of Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra from 2020 to 2024. During the summer of 2021 and 2022, she auditioned and was accepted by the Intensive Viola Program of Interlochen Arts Camp. She was also a violist, violinist and percussionist in Bohua Academy of Chinese Musical Arts, a local Chinese traditional music group. Outside of music, she enjoys distance running and volunteering at local food bank and hospitals.
